St Andrews in November – What’s on

November is an extra special month in St Andrews as it sees the celebration of the saint from whom our town takes its name. St Andrew’s day falls on the 30th November and the entire month will see plenty of events in celebration of the saint as well as all the usual eclectic range of events which St Andrews is proud to hold every month of the year.

Fawlty Towers

Faulty Towers experienceBack by popular demand, the Old Course Hotel, St Andrews is proud to play host to the critically acclaimed Fawlty Towers show. Sit back and relax as you are served a true 1970’s three course dinner by Basil, Sybil and Manuel themselves. The interactive dinner show began in 1997 and has been performed in over 20 countries including in London’s West end. Must of the show is improvised and unscripted so literally anything can happen and no two shows will be the same. Definitely a not-to-be-missed experience; get your tickets quick for a night guaranteed to have you in stitches.

Christmas craft fair

With Christmas now only weeks away it is time to think about buying presents if you haven’t already. If you are on the lookout for unique gifts for your loved ones rather than the usual bath gift set then head down to the annual Christmas craft fair at the Byre’s theatre on Saturday 11th November. From 10am until 5pm you can browse the beautiful stalls and irresistible items and meet the passionate crafters who made them. Come in from the cold and enjoy an afternoon picking out bespoke gifts which your loved ones will cherish and maybe grab a little treat for you too.

St Andrews Preservation Trust Art Exhibition

Every year the St Andrews Preservation Trust hold an art exhibition which gives local artists a forum to showcase their work to the public. Work which has been compiled over the year is proudly displayed and you will be given the chance to purchase any of the fine pieces of artwork which catch your eye. We are lucky to have so many talented artist in St Andrews and the annual exhibition is a great time to pick up a unique and beautifully created piece of art for your home.

There’s no reason why the colder months of the year should keep you at home – in St Andrews, there’s certainly enough to tempt you out and about.
